THE WYOMING WAY OF BUILDING
Wyoming values independence, personal responsibility, and the freedom to build. I share those values. I also believe homeowners deserve clear information about the property they are buying, building, or maintaining.
Construction practices and local oversight can vary. That makes an independent inspection a valuable opportunity to better understand a home’s condition and identify concerns.
At Covenant Home Services, my role is straightforward: inspect what I can see, document my findings, and explain them in plain language. Whether you are purchasing an existing home or building a new one, I provide an independent perspective to help you make informed decisions.
My purpose is to give you practical information about your home—not to criticize contractors or tell you how to build. Independence and knowledge go hand in hand.
Better Knowledge. Better Homes.

Building a Home
If you are building a new home, Covenant Home Services provides an independent set of eyes through construction-phase inspections or owner representation. I work for you, the homeowner, to document visible conditions, review important construction details, and help communicate concerns while the work is still accessible. These services support informed decisions throughout the build and do not replace the responsibilities of your contractor, architect, or engineer.
ABOUT THE OWNER & CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL INSPECTOR-Steven DeSchneau
I’m Steven Deschneau, a Sublette County resident with a professional background in construction documentation, structural drafting, CAD, welding, and technical education. Much of my career has involved reading plans, understanding how buildings go together, solving construction problems, and communicating technical information in a way that makes sense. That experience is what led me to start Covenant Home Services. I believe homeowners and buyers should have a clear understanding of the property they are investing in, especially in an area where residential construction often comes with less government oversight than people may be used to elsewhere. My approach to inspections is practical and independent. I am not there to criticize contractors, exaggerate problems, or create unnecessary concern. I am there to carefully evaluate the visible condition of the home, document what I find, and explain it clearly. At the end of the inspection, my goal is simple: give you better information so you can make better decisions about your home.
